A. Fysikopoulos, A. Papacharalampopoulos, G. Pastras, P. Stavropoulos, G. Chryssolouris (2013) 46th CIRP Conference on Manufacturing Systems
Abstract:
A critical review on the energy efficiency of important manufacturing processes is presented in this study. Relevant conventional and non-conventional processes, utilized in the three major industrial sectors of aeronautics, automotive and white goods are briefly discussed. Information related to their energy efficiency is provided. The conclusions of both the analysis and the discussion comprise some practical aspects and recommendations for the energy efficient use of selected processes.
